Michoacan State is located at Mexico’s Pacific zone. The biggest cities of this state are Morelia the capital city, Patzcuaro and Uruapan.

According to SAGARPA (Mexican Agricultural Department), the total land for growing Hass Avocado in Mexico, is more than 230,000 acres. At least 78% of these acres belong to 21 districts in Michoacan.
